Why Mak Rabbitt Photography?

On your wedding day, you deserve to be surrounded by people who are passionate about what they do. We have this passion. We are passionate about creating artwork that is specific to you, your fiance and your loved ones. We are passionate about telling your story and telling it beautifully through the moments we capture and create. We will be with you at every moment to capture the intimate, romantic (and sometimes hilarious) moments as they unfold. We will give you a lifetime memories to share with your families, friends and perhaps your future children.

We are a husband and wife team. This means that we can tell your story from a male AND female perspective, which means more diverse and creative images. An additional bonus to having two photographers on your day means is that we can divide our time to be more efficient- and can literally be in two places at the same time.

With over 25 years of combined photography experience dedicated to weddings, we have you covered. Our passion for delivering the best images to you also means that we are committed to constantly learning. We are always learning about the new trends in the wedding industry and photography in general- from posing to lighting, we are skilled, experienced, and qualified to preserve your precious moments. We will capture everything with emotion, with love and will capture the moments that you didn't even realize were happening.

We want to be more than just your photographers, we want to be your friends! This is so important to us because we want every session you have with us to be fun, exciting and relaxed. It is truly important to us that we work with the "right" couples- and because of this, we do not book every wedding inquiry we receive. We shoot a very limited number of weddings each year. We do this because you deserve the absolute best! We invest our time in you because we know that you entrusted us with one of the most special events of your life- and we will not disappoint.

Service areas include: Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, Canton, Dayton, Toledo, and Cincinnati. Travel to surrounding states and outside of the U.S.A. is available upon request.

About the Name

Mak Rabbitt is a combination of our two last names: Makris and Sara's maiden name, Rabbitt. Following our marriage in 2010, we combined our last names, created our logo and re-branded our studio to Mak Rabbitt Photography.

Tony's Bio

My love for photography started at a very young age when I first picked up my father's 35mm film camera at 8 years old. The rest is documented history in endless rolls of film, DVD's and hard-drives. Working as a photo lab technician at age 14, I had the opportunity to work with a local professional wedding photographer who really liked the way I developed his B&W prints. He allowed me to apprentice for 2 years and sent me on my own to shoot a wedding for him when I was 16 years old. I have been in love with wedding photography ever since that day. I appreciate the challenge that photographing a wedding presents and the emotion of love that flows through the air on those days. I consider myself a constant learner and photography has afforded me that opportunity for two decades. I am always seeking new ways to approach photography and I am not afraid to challenge myself or my equipment and the elements to capture an amazing image. I am a United States Marine Corps veteran, I hold an Associate in Arts degree from Campbell University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Phoenix and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. I am a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) and CPP Liaison. CPP Liaisons assist candidates and existing CPPs as subject matter experts and sources of information. Each liaison must maintain his or her certification and PPA Membership, and is entrusted with responsibilities to maintain the integrity of the program.

Sara's Bio

My love for photography honestly did not start until I met Tony in 2009. At the time, I was a science nerd who was working as a Microbiologist, so my understanding of the art of photography was extremely limited. After tagging along with Tony on some of his wedding shoots, I developed a better understanding of the elements of photography and what it takes to capture emotion. I quickly developed an interest as well as an eye for photography.

I add a feminine touch to the wedding day simply by having a woman's perspective. While I love to photograph the bride and groom together, my favorite things to photograph are the details that tie the day together: the cake, jewelry, shoes and decor.

I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Kent State University and my Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.

When We are Not Behind the Camera we are a fun-loving, laid-back duo. We enjoy spending whatever free time we have with our families and our daughter, Sophia. As a family, we any location with a beach and the ability to have a few libations. We enjoy watching the occasional Columbus Blue Jackets Game, strolling around the zoo or the many parks Columbus has to offer. We are former horse owners and still own a ranch in Northern Ohio. Prior to the birth of our daughter, we spent our free weekends competing in Cowboy Mounted Shooting events throughout Ohio and surrounding states. We are holding onto the farm just in case Sophia wants a pony someday! Here is a small look into our crazy little life.
