Last weekend was a very popular weekend for taking engagement photos at Dawes Arboretum and who would not want photos taken at this beautiful location this time of year in Ohio! Dana and Mike were one of our beautiful couples who chose this wonderful fall location for their engagement session. Dana and Mike chose this spot because they share some special memories there (see below for images). Mike will be leaving soon for Coast Guard Boot Camp which takes place in my home state in Cape May, N.J., so Dana wanted to be sure their engagement photos were extra special! Growing up on the East Coast, an avid water-man and commercial fisherman I have a great respect for the Coast Guard and the protection they provide. This veteran is very proud of Mike and the choice he made to serve his country.
I first captured photos of the couple in a beautiful log gazebo located off the beaten path a bit in the woods. Dana brought a blanket with their wedding date printed on it that she made and they took some cute fall photos with this prop. We then ventured out of the woods to get a little warmer and capture some more of the fall colors. Dana found a beautiful bright red maple leaf for a few ring shots along the way as we walked through the arboretum. To make the session even more memorable and more meaningful, they had their dog join them and she was a trooper!
Dana and Mike have chose to get married at a private residence in August of 2016. We cannot wait till their wedding to capture more beautiful images of this super cute couple! We wish Mike the best in his basic training and look forward to August 6, 2016!
