Tony had the privilege of photographing Nicole and Mike's engagement session last weekend at Schiller Park in Columbus, Ohio. While it wasn't quite officially Spring on the calendar, it sure felt like a Spring day during the shoot. Nicole and Mike made the day fun and "spring-like" by bringing their dog, Winston and their bicycle! Nicole and Mike met at Nationwide were they both work. They rescued their fur baby, Winston during their first year of dating each other. So it was only appropriate for Winston to be part of their engagement photos. I always love a fur baby photo!
Mike proposed to Nicole in September of 2015 during a weekend trip to Middle Bass Island. Mike's family owns a house on the island and they planned a little weekend getaway there. Mike nearly didn't get the chance to have the proposal he'd planned because they were running a little late to catch the ferry to the island, but they ended up making it with only a few minutes to spare! Mike had to ask the Captain to hold the boat! When they arrived, they had dinner and then Mike asked Nicole to go outside and watch the sunset behind the house. Nicole said that she had no idea he was going to propose, so she invited the neighbor to come along with them! Thankfully, Mike pulled the neighbor aside and told him his plans so he did not come! Once they were alone, they sat and talked. Mike asked Nicole to stand up to take a picture, then he got down on one knee and proposed. Nicole said "yes" and they celebrated the rest of the night with Mike's family and friends. The following day Nicole's parents surprised her by coming to the lake to celebrate.
Here are some of Nicole and Mike's engagement photos from their fun-filled day!
We are looking forward to the wedding day! Thank you Mike and Nicole for making our jobs so easy!
