Tiffany and Mike’s Scioto Reserve Country Club wedding photos are some of our favorite wedding photos from the year (so far). Tiffany and Mike make the perfect pair and were so much fun to work with on this beautiful spring day in May.
About the Couple
We had the honor to work with Tiffany and Mike for their engagement session. During their session, I found out that Mike is an engineer for Honda. So, we talked a lot about Sara’s LOVE for a Honda, her precious 2008 Si and how we should upgrade to a Honda Odyssey. It was awesome to hear Mike’s passion for his work and understand the true quality that goes into the build of Honda vehicles. Sara still refuses to part with her Si.
When asked about how they met, Mike said, "We met online through E-Harmony in December of 2014. Tiffany's profile said that a Top-5 thing she couldn't live without was Chipotle - How could I resist?" They were engaged in November of 2015. Here's what Tiffany had to say about their engagement:
"Michael is very sentimental and romantic. He proposed to me in front of Hayden Falls in Dublin. I found out afterward that he spent months making sure everything was perfect. He worked with my best friend, Ashley, to plan out the details so I would have no idea what was getting ready to happen. Ashley and I went to breakfast together and to Hayden Run falls to take a walk, something very typical of us. When we arrived at the falls we walked down to the waterfall and we were taking pictures when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I turned around and Michael was standing there happy and excited to see me. I had no clue why he was there; he positioned me in front of the waterfall (he's a perfectionist like that) and then got down on one knee (I was in complete shock at this point) and he said, "I love you, and I want to spend the rest of our lives together. Will you marry me?" I said yes, and then realized there was a professional photographer capturing the entire thing. I found out later that Michael even had my ring custom made, taking three design attempts before creating the perfect one."
The Wedding Day
Getting Ready at Scioto Reserve Country Club
Sara had the pleasure to work with the ladies in the beautiful bridal suite at Scioto Reserve Country Club. Having photographed at many venues over the years, this was one of the most well put together suites we have ever photographed. The bridal suite offered plenty of space and a large 3 way mirror for Tiffany to stand in front of to put on her final touches. Her gorgeous wedding gown was bought from Wendy's Bridal.
I was lucky to get to work with the guys in the gentlemen’s lounge. The lounge was complete with a card and pool table- it was THE perfect spot for unwinding before saying “I DO”. We made a stop by the beautiful bar to take a few photos of the groom and groomsmen.
Tiffany and Mike exchanged letters and gifts before the ceremony. They both had their gifts planned thoughtfully and carefully. Mike bought Tiffany a camera so she can take photos of the places they plan on traveling. Tiffany designed canvases for Mike of all of the places he's visited and of all of the places they are wishing to visit- see how perfect they are for each
The Scioto Reserve Country Club provides a beautiful and spacious indoor area backlit with and awesome view of the course. This is where Tiffany and Mike chose to say their vows and become husband and wife.
Adjacent to the pool at Scioto Reserve Country Club was a beautiful arbor with a nice waterfall backdrop. This was the location we chose for the formal family photos for Tiffany and Mike. We also managed to grab a few bridal party photos before heading out to the course to capture some beautiful photos of this amazing couple alone!
We were escorted out on the course by Ann Marie who took us to a custom made sign just for our Bride and Groom on their special day. Sara and I made use of this beautiful day, the pillow like clouds and green grass to showcase Tiffany and Mike. We made special use of the tunnel at the country club to capture a pretty silhouette of the newlyweds.
It is now time to get down and party with the music being provided by Buckeye Entertainment. Tiffany and Mike shared a beautiful first dance, then they danced with their respective parents for the traditional wedding dances. Following the formalities, the DJ cranked it up and it was a non stop party until their final sparkler send-off! I remember Mike stating “Damn that was fun” just before we headed out to capture their exit. This was surely a wedding for the record books filled with two great families and lots of wonderful friends to share in their celebration.
